The Nudity Craze

"And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. And when he went forth to land there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abide in any house, but in tombs." (Luke 8:26-27)
There is a strange take-off at work in the world today. It is not a take-off of airplanes, rockets or missiles, but a take-off of clothing. We are witnessing a public disrobing of the populace. The man in the tombs was naked because he was lost, demon possessed and mentally unbalanced as a result of those demons.
It is surprising that many cannot see that the present nudity craze in the world is a direct result of the influence of Satan and his demons. Satan has tricked many well-meaning people into wearing scanty, indecent clothing in public. The mini-skirt, shorts, tight fitting jeans and other such clothing are causing much immorality and gross sin.
These scanty dresses and skirts are causing people to look and lust, and to look and lust is just as sinful as committing the very act of immorality (Matthew 5:27-28). There are even many professing Christians who are displaying their flesh to the world.
The Bible says this is a sin. I Timothy 2:9, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel..."
The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of God but of the world (I John 2: 15-17). Nudity and indecency is something you would expect from the unsaved world—not from Christians.
Anything that calls attention to the human anatomy is of the devil, and is a sin. It's high time we return to the Biblical standards of decency and Godliness. Throughout God's Word we find that God sets up standards of dress for His people. Why then should so called professing Christians be caught up in this modern nudity craze? It's time our women bring the hemlines down, the necklines up, and our men put on their shirts and cover their nakedness. Be sure of one thing, God is not pleased with this nudity.
Some say, "Well, everyone is doing it." So What! Broad is the way that leads to Hell, and narrow is the way that leads to Eternal Life (Matthew 7:13-14). It is evident that the modern trend to indecency, immorality and fleshly desires is satanic and under the influence of the demons of hell. It is high time we lift up our voices and cry aloud and show our people the sinfulness of parading in public in scanty clothing. If some of our women could read the minds of some of the men who look at them and lust after them, they would blush with shame, go home and cover up their nakedness with proper attire.
When the man in the tombs was converted, he put his clothing on! Luke 8:25 - "Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind..."
My friend, could it be that the reason you are trapped into displaying your flesh before the world is that you have never been converted? Have you really repented from your sins and been born again by the Spirit of God? (John 3:3; Acts 3:19)
Why not confess your sin to the Saviour now! Only He can give you the power to live the clean decent God fearing life that is needed in this world today (John 1:12). Call upon Him now, He will save you (Romans 10:9-13).
